A few weeks ago I had an adorable zit. How can you have a favorite zit, I'm sure you're wondering. I call it this because it was in the same spot my glamourously beautiful friend Betsy has her glamorous beauty mark.
Betsy and I had AP Environmental Science together in high school. It was our senior year. Once she shared her Burt's Bee's lemon cuticle cream with me before I even knew about Burt and his Bees.
When I call Betsy glamorous I'm not just making that up. She can make a pony tail look like it was styled by Kate Spade herself. Can Betsy look fabulous in jeans and a t-shirt? Yes. Can Betsy look fabulous with red, red lipstick and eyeliner that makes her look Egyptian? Yes, at the same time, even. Can Betsy look fabulous even when she doesn't look good? Trick question. Betsy always looks good.
Not only is she so cute she's also so funny! I love this gal. Check out her blog and tell me you don't agree. Oh, she's also single if you're a non-crazy and also single. LDS standards apply!

Goin' to the temple

Going to the temple is such a wonderful experience. This one is going to be cool because Jeremy's parents, sister, and two brothers (with wives) will also be there.
I'll take pictures but no guarantees I'll have a way to post them.

From the squishy section of CNN.com.
Today I read this. I was linked there by CNN.com. It was a refreshing change from the usual bombings, murders, kidnappings, and sports.
The part that got me? Friends differ from husbands or boyfriends, partnerships that are layered with complexities (physical and financial). A friendship is a unique, wonderful relationship that you choose to grow, cultivate and nurture.
I'm recently married and moved far, far away from my little support group. Sure we still have the phone and email. But we were in-person bonders.
I love my husband. He's a great guy. We have so much fun together! We talk about everything and laugh about even more.
But he doesn't have the foundation that Wendy and I built while rescuing Mickey and Minnie during recess in AM kindergarten. The knowledge of why "Russia or Bust" that The Group shares is a mystery to him. While I know he would play Girl Talk with me and that he did watch Return to Me and What's Up, Doc? are nice they're no comparison to telling Janalyn her landing gear is down and she's clear. (Remember the wonder that was your van in high school? [For the record I had no vehicle in high school. I envied Janalyn's car.]) Sure Jeremy is ticklish but we could tickle Finny from across the room. Speaking of Finny, "Look! A train!" And keep the apple juice away from MeLynn and Jill -- just in case.
In my new ward the part I dreaded the most was Relief Society. The rest of the week I would have Jeremy there to be my friend. During Relief Society I was surrounded by these women who were supposed to eventually be my friends. But I have nothing in common with them. They won't get my humor at first so I'm afraid to try. So during RS I would cry, quietly in the back row, surrounded by people I hoped wouldn't notice me.
I guess I'm trying to say I love my friends and the wonderful support they are. And that I'm glad I was called to be a Sunbeam teacher.

Thanks, Allyson.
Ten years ago: I had just finished high school and ran away from home for a year. I recently moved home again and fled in the night again. It's complicated. No, it's not.

Ten years ago: I had just finished high school and ran away from home for a year. I recently moved home again and fled in the night again. It's complicated. No, it's not.
Five things on my to do list:
- Go to the gym
- Call NWA about my tickets. (I'll blog about that one soon enough.)
- Go grocery shopping.
- Buy a bus pass for this month.
- Cook dinner.
Places I have lived:
- Sandy, UT
- South Salt Lake, The Ghetto, UT
- Sugarhousey area, UT (four different houses)
- Northern California (I briefly moved out there with my mother)
- Rochester, The Center of Fun, MN
I tag ... Jeremy, Candice, Jill, Holly, and Jeramie.
Addition:
I left out what I would do if I were a millionaire.
- I would buy a Prius and a house for Jeremy and me.
- Find out who to pay off to make the word 'supper' illegal. It's dinner. Dinner is the evening meal. It follows lunch. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
- Any left over money would be put in an IRA.
